According to Section 10 (1) of the National Youth Council Act 1993, there shall be a National Executive Committee which shall be responsible for managing the affairs of the Council. The National Youth Executive Committee is elected by the members of the council from among their number.
The National Youth Executive Committee shall consist of; - Chairperson; Vice-Chairperson; General Secretary; Publicity Secretary; Secretary for Female Youth; Secretary for Student Affairs; Secretary for Labour Affairs; Secretary for Sports and Culture; Secretary for External Relations; Secretary for finance; and Secretary for legal affairs.
The role of the National Executive Committee is to supervise and oversee the implementation of the Council’s programmes. They are responsible for lobbying and advocating for youth issues to be integrated into the National agenda.
